Starwars

With all the movies like War of the Worlds,Independence Day and others, it's not hard to imagine if aliens did show up to earth that they would be hostile. It's funny with agencies like SETI dedicate their entire life to searching for ET. Now do you think it's a good idea to go out and intentionally try to find aliens if there is a chance that they can be hostile? I mean from a science point of view it would be a great discovery of mankind to find intelligence but would it be worthwhile if they came and blew up our planet because the few beeps of radio waves we sent to their homeland was considered a swear word?

To me I feel like it's worth it.

  1. Although a sufficiently advanced race probably wouldn't get that enraged over a swear word that they decided to trash a new planet over it.

  8. i'm against an imminent destruction of earth until we learn how to be awesome and and find ways to live on inhospitable planets...although this would most likely require our bargaining with aliens and google needs to hurry up and figure out alien language so we can be sure not to offend our overlords when asking for their technology.....yea....

  10. If anything, we should be the hostile ones and take over their planets or whatever!

  11. I think we should attempt to find alien life. It's definitely a risk, but the rewards are enough to justify it.
